I was so excited to be invited by Dee Jayne Duo to the soft opening for The Barn, Co tonight, the newest Brew Pub in Groton located in the old Pequonnock Bridge Fire House No. 1 on Fort Hill Road in Groton. Prior to a fire house, the owner, Brian, told me it used to be an old grange where some say they came with their grandparents for the local hoedown. The original stage is now the platform for local musicians as they plan to have live local music on Friday & Saturday nights from 7:00-10:00 pm, Sunday afternoons and possibly some live jams mid week. If you’re lucky you may catch Brian on stage singing a song or two!

Supporting local breweries, The Barn will be offering 16 craft beers, including 2 of their own from The Barn Brew Company – Haze for Horses and Farmers Lager, in addition, a full liquor license. Small bites and food trucks will also be available.

New England Hemp Farm is another of Brian’s local businesses offering a variety of CBD products which are available to purchase at The Barn.
